1. Does the play have to be a particular style?
No. As long as the play is no more than 15 minutes in length, we are happy to consider it, even musicals. We do ask that any music be sent on CD though, rather than a musical score.
2. Does the 15 minute short have to be from the same play that would be put on if I was awarded the prize?
No. The 15 minute short can be an 'Off Cut' of a full production you wish to put on, or it may be a completely different piece.
3. I have written a play that I want to be in - is that possible?
It is possible, but you would have to audition.
4. I want to submit a 15 minute play, but do not have a full production ready if I win, should I still submit?
Yes. Don't panic about the full length play. If you are awarded the full production week at the ORL, there is no rush on getting your work up and out there before you are ready.
5. Can I submit more than one 15 minute play?
Yes, you can.
6. Can I submit my play via e-mail?
Due to our administration system, all plays must be submitted by post.
7. Do I have to be in the U.K to submit?
Currently we only accept submissions from playwrights within the UK
